Pedro J. Cuadros-Solas, PhD

SHORT BIO: 

Associate (tenured) professor at CUNEF Universidad (Madrid-Spain). PhD. in Economics from the University of Granada (Spain). My research interests lie in banking, financial digitalization, corporate finance (underwriting), financial intermediation, and financial crises. My research work has been published in international journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, European Journal of Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, Financial Innovation, Research in International Business and Finance, International Review of Economics & Finance, Plos-ONE, and Global Policy as well as in books edited by Springer-Palgrave. I have been awarded (twice) the accessit prize research by the Fundación de Estudios Financieros (FEF) for the paper "The impact of lending relationships on the choice and structure of bond underwriting syndicates" (in 2017) and the paper “Am I riskier if I rescue my banks? Beyond the effects of bailouts” (in 2020). I have also been awarded the research prize for the best thesis in Economics by the Real Academia de Doctores de España (RADE).
