This year's three-day conference featured many highlights:

    • keynote speeches from John Bell, co-founder of YouthBuild, and Eric Dawson, co-founder of Peace Games
    • over 15 workshops on topics ranging from "Loving the Challenging Child... Within Ourselves" to "Peacemaking Across the Curriculum"
    • an evening of celebration that featured an inspiring talk from Marcia Sidney Reed, principal at the 186th Street School in Gardena, CA and the second annual "Frannie" awards
    • a Public Day, during which we welcomed 20 additional participants from schools and agencies around the Boston area.

Many thanks to this year's conference organizing team, led by Betsy Shane and ably assisted by Abby Donnelly and Ellie Caple.  Next year, Peace Games will be sponsoring a series of smaller regional conferences in Boston, New York, and Los Angeles.  For more information, contact the Peace Games Institute.
