How can you help children feel confident about
their skills and interactions with others so they are enabled to grow towards their full potential?
Learn about the Child's Staircase of Needs, based on the philosophy of Abraham Maslow, and how it is possible to be a consistent and fair disciplinarian, while at the same time keeping the child's emotional needs staircase strong.
In addition, participants will learn how to give the kind of praise kids can use to keep their competency stair-step strong. The workshop will also teach how to listen to a child's inner reality and emotions.
hour time frame for the workshop allows for adequate discussion and some voluntary role playing time.
All workshops are based on the book, Taking Charge: Caring Discipline that Works at Home and at School, 4th ed. by JoAnne Nordling, M.S., M.Ed.
