2010 Participants

Read for the Record is an annual event to support community literacy.  This year, PDK International and FEA partner again with Jumpstart and Pearson Foundation to kick off Read for the Record on October 7, where teens and adults across the U.S. will read The Snowy Dayby Ezra Jack Keats to young students as part of this annual event.

Each recipient will receive a Certificate of Participation and a poster of recognition with each participant’s name on it will be hung in the Instructional Media Center of the B. Davis Schwartz Library.  Be sure to check in with PDK to find out about next year’s Read for the Record selection, and let us know of your interest and participation!  (For detail information, click here)

By encouraging a single, common day of reading engagement where participants read the same book, Jumpstart hopes to set a new world record and raise awareness about the number of children entering kindergarten unprepared. Visit http://www.pdkintl.org/member/read4record.htm
