Ray Bradbury

 

 

Ray Douglas Bradbury (1920) is an American literary, fantasy, horror, science fiction, and mystery writer best known for his 1953 dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles.  He is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most popular American writers of speculative fiction during the twentieth century.

His more than five hundred published works -- short stories, novels, plays, screenplays, television scripts, and verse -- exemplify the American imagination at its most creative.
