PDF Scissors 0.0.2 launched

Good news everyone!! It has been a long pause with PDF Scissors development, however, from the user's side it was rather the opposite scenario. I got very good feedbacks from many users, including bug reports and feature suggestions. Also we got a new code contributor (Thanks to Sergio Gragera Camino), so it was about time to improve the old first version.

I managed to extract a few weekend hours and added some most requested features. Most importantly offline support, odd/even page grouping possibility and improvement on overall cropping capabilities. See below for full list.

I noticed I am already using this tool more often to read scanned books. I scanned a very old comic from my collection and it was really a lot of fun to read it in my Kindle 3!

I hope you too will enjoy this version more :)

So... what's new in 0.0.2

  • Now  you can crop odd/even pages separately.
  • You can even crop every single page individually.
  • Much better stack preview.
  • You can disable creating stack view too using advanced option. Useful for handling huge books when creating stack takes too long time.
  • Offline support. If you run the offline version, it will create a desktop icon.
  • Better support for pdfs with varying sized pages.
  • Pdf meta data (author, date etc) is saved properly.
  • New toolbar buttons to help creating crop areas (split a crop area into two equal areas).
  • And finally "Cropped by pdfscissors.com" removed from the page bottom.
