Compliance Requirements

A
ll Education majors (Undergraduate, M.A.T., and Certification Only) must complete certain Compliance Requirement Modules in order to finish their program of study.  This requirement is in addition to the Educator Ethics Assessment required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

The School of Education has identified two modules to be completed:
          • Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse/Neglect
          • Teacher Code of Ethics.

It is the student’s responsibility to complete the two modules prior to their interview for admission to the School of Education.   Documentation of completion of the modules should be given to their respective advisor.

If you have already completed the interview process for admission to teacher education, you will need to make certain that you have completed the two modules prior to the application for Internship II.  Again, the documentation of completion needs to be given to the respective advisor.

You may be currently working in a school system, and, therefore, you may have completed the modules as a district employee.  However, at this time the School of Education is requiring that you also complete the modules through the Piedmont portal.

The modules are online and are free for all Piedmont College students.
