Exploring the Portuguese Heritage in Bangkok

The Portuguese Cultural Center-Instituto Camões and the Embassy of Portugal in Bangkok in cooperation with The National Museum Volunteers organised, last Friday, 18th March, a visit to the historical buildings of the Embassy - the Chancery and the Residence of The Ambassador - and to the churches and settlements of Portuguese origin in Bangkok - Holy Rosary, Santa Cruz and Immaculate Conception.
The fathers, and senior members of the neighbourhoods we visited gave us a very warm welcome, providing information about the sites.
We would like to thank all of them for the cooperation.
The tour was led by Ajarn Bidya Sriwattnnasarn for a group of the national Museum Volunteers.
Due to the success of this activity we might organise other editions.
