Windows 10 Hands-on Classes

For General Information:

WINDOWS 10  is a 4-week course of 2-hour sessions, on Mondays in room B.  This course assumes that the participant has some experience with a PC Computer but MINIMAL knowledge of the basic features of the Windows 10 operating system. 

Course Outline: There will be lecture and demonstration by the instructor followed by hands-on computer practice under the supervision of the instructor and assistants.Topics that will be taught include:

  • Getting Around on the Start Screen and Desktop view
  • Using This PC, Snap, Virtual desktops, Printing Photos
  • Using new File Explorer Options and Smart Search
  • Exploring Edge, Bing, Cortana
Course Signup:  TO BE ANNOUNCED FOR FUTURE CLASSES You must have your Computers West membership up to date and have signed up to monitor one time. (See the on-line Monitor Training information on the main CW website.) Then fill out the envelope for Win 10 in the registration book across from the Monitor's desk, insert your check for $10.00 made out to Computers West and give it to the monitor. Please mark your calendar - You will not be called to remind you to attend.  (If two members of the same family are registering, please fill out TWO envelopes ($10 each) so we will have an accurate count for the number of computers being used.)
