Education and Training:

- From April 2014: Postdoc fellow at  CHU-Stainte Justine hospital.

- January 2008 to December 2013: Doctorate in Biology at INRS – Institut Armand-Frappier, QC, Canada. 

- 2002-2004: Master of Science in Biology, Thai Nguyen University and Vietnam Academy of Sciences and technology (VAST).

- 1994-1998: Bachelor of Science in Biology, Hanoi National University of Vietnam.

Research activities:

- Skeletal dysplasia pathophysiology related to mutations of some genes (e.g. FIG4) identified through next-generation sequencing.


Past Research:

- Subcellular expression and tissue-specific distribution of functional nuclear urotensin II receptor (UT) in rat and monkey central nervous system and peripheral tissues and in neuronal hypoxia, patho-physiological roles of nuclear UT in cardiomyocytes.

- VP2 gene encoding surface antigen of infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) from infected chicken applied to Gumboro vaccine production.

- Antibacterial activity of recombinant ribosome-inactivating proteins (RIPs).

- Cellulase, amilase and protease activities of specific bacteria and fungi applied to waste treatment and their genetic properties.
