Reclamation held four public meetings to solicit public input on the draft EIS related to alternatives, the adequacy and accuracy of the analyses of the proposed actions, and any new information that would assist development of the final EIS. Reclamation hosted two open houses in early August 2013 to provide updated information on the project, including future planning activities and project surveys. Surveys have been conducted to assess current site conditions, identify sensitive habitats and cultural resources, and study hydrologic processes in the area.

The Project Reports page includes a link to the Scoping Summary Report that was released in August 2013. This report summarizes the results of the public scoping meetings and public scoping comment period. The public scoping process closed on May 3, 2013.
