The Photoelectric Effect is a demonstration of wave-particle duality, the idea that particles such as photons act as waves in certain situations. This topic was what Einstein won his Nobel Prize for. I hope to demonstrate these concepts through using only an ultraviolet light, an electroscope, wool, plastic, and zinc.
Driving Question: Why does a zinc plate lose its electric charge when a UV light is shone on it?
