Support Us

Paxton Pits Nature Reserve is run by the voluntary group Friends of Paxton Pits and Huntingdonshire District Council.  We rely on you for raising funds to improve the access and management of the site for people and for wildlife, and there are many ways you can help.

Join the Friends

Your annual membership fee will support our work across the Reserve, and you'll get our regular newsletter Between Friends, invitations to special events for Friends, a car sticker and a membership card too. Joining is easy - find out more.

Your time is one of the greatest gifts you can give us - and it's good for you, too. You could get hands-on at our regular work parties, including hedge-laying, scrub clearance and more - or help out at the Visitors' Centre. Perhaps you could even lend us your expertise on wildlife surveying - flora and/or fauna. Find out more on our volunteering page.

Play the Kingfisher Lottery

For a monthly fee, you can play our lottery for a chance of winning a cash prize sixteen times a year. The funds generated are divided between the prizes and raising money to support a range of projects across the reserve. It's easy to sign up - find out more.

Come along and see us!

One of the best ways to show your support is to come along to the Visitors' Centre, where you can buy refreshments or buy a second-hand book or two. We also run regular walks, talks and special events which you can find out about here. We'd love to see you!
