Presentation by Fred KB0LF on the 2018 Nebraska QSO Party which will be held April 21, 22. They are looking for phone (voice) stations to participate. Nebraska will allow FT8 mode this year. More information at https://www.qcwa.org/chapter025.htm WD0AAH has offered to host club members at his home location if anyone wants to work the Nebraska QSO event from there.

Ted, K7CLP indicated that he will be trying to set up a station in Genoa at the Indian School site.

N0RHM discussed looking at a Point to Point Internet wireless connection between the Court House and the DStar tower site. This would replace the cellular modem (with its monthly charge) currently being used. K7CLP presented his findings. His recommendation is to use Ubiquity equipment on the 5 GHz frequency band. Tim N0RHM recommended using the tower on top of the Sheriff's office.

Gene KD0OBA discussed a report from KD0RIZ talking about the need for a new network router at the DStar tower site.

Suggestions for future club topics are:

HF vertical antennas - Gene KD0OBA

DStar using the Columbus repeaters - Gene KD0OBA - Gene lead the discussion at the March meeting

New Business

DStar - Reflector 002 status, KD0OBA report on conversation with NEMA. Reflector 002 is no longer under control by NEMA. All Nebraska DStar sites will no longer be permanently linked on 2 meters to Reflector 002. This will mean that all HAMs can now link and unlink the 2 meter side to any reflector on the DStar network. It also means that the bi-monthly Nebraska DStar net will now need to move to a different reflector. Adam and Gene will report back next month with an update.

Tim N0RHM offered ID badges to the PARC members. These can be used for ID and access to the EOC.

With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Chris AC0DN seconded by Adam KD0RIZ. Motion carried.
