This fiery action group delivers a powerful blend of high energy traditional Irish music and songs. A dazzling variety of tunes demonstrate their focus in the keeping the Irish tradition alive while expanding their repertoire to include Scottish and Cape Breton tunes.  Coolmagort challenges you to keep your hands and feet still.

Patty Furlong on button accordion, from New York, has won All-Ireland titles. She has played with the original Cherish the Ladies and the Chieftains. Patty has played in Alaska, Bermuda, Quebec and Ireland.  She has taught summer schools in the US and Ireland and teaches young students weekly.

Frankie McCormick on banjo and mandolin, from Tyrone, Ireland, has 2 All-Ireland titles on banjo and mandolin as well as the coveted All-Ireland Scor Award. Frankie brings a fresh northern punch to the phrasing of the tunes and his quick wit keeps the audience howling.

Margie Reynolds on flute and tin whistle, from New York spent her childhood learning music from her legendary cousin- Martin Mulvihill.  Margie competed in Ireland in numerous at all Ireland competitions. Margie is a founding member of Morning Star.

Brendan Dolan on piano, from New York, is the most sought after accompanist in traditional music today. Brendan's diverse styles include classical, jazz, klezmer and blues. Brendan has performed with Frankie Gavin and Brian Conway. Brendan learned piano from his famed dad- Felix.

Eamon O'Leary on vocals and guitar, is originally from Dublin, Ireland. He has quickly gained a reputation as an accomplished traditional musician and singer.  He has played with the Eileen Ivers Band, Paddy Keenan, James Keane and Emer Mayock.  Eamon has toured extensively throughout the US, Ireland and Europe.

John Reynolds on fiddle, is from New York City.  As a child, John was sent to learn classical violin but refused to practice. As a last resort, his mom sent John to Irish music lessons which he enjoyed and actually practiced. John progressed to compete and win at an All-Ireland competition.  John has toured and played with numerous groups.
