Kate Clark (b. 1983) is a multimedia sculptor who grew up in small town Minnesota and currently lives in Seattle, Washington. She received a B.A. from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota (2006), and received an M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Visual Art at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington (2011). In the time between she spent two years working for Franconia Sculpture Park in rural Minnesota. Her work often calls for interaction either from the viewer, herself, or choreographed performers. She uses sculpture as a means to connect with others on a more engaging level and aims to awaken new ways of seeing and being through her work. Collaboration is an important part of her creative process and she is thrilled to be working with Seattle-based composer Abby Aresty on Paths II: The Music of Trees.
