If you have heard Jim speak about Inclusion, I do not have to tell you how dynamic and awesome he is to hear. If you have never heard Jim present on Inclusion, look at what others have to say about his message:

"Literally changed my life."
"Amazing to hear him speak."
"Made me see things differently, for sure."
"My dear friend Jim. He is the best."

IDEA Discipline Manual

Message from Jim Comstock-Galagan:

"As my last act for SDLC and before fully retiring, I recently drafted the attached IDEA Discipline Manual. Although there are a few references to Texas' SPED regulations, the Manual predominately focuses on (hopefully) creative uses of IDEA's provisions to prevent the suspension of students with disabilities.... and also ways to ensure that appropriate FBA are conducted and effective BIPs are developed\implemented with an emphasis on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS).

There is also attached a cover memo that describes the content of the Manual.

Please feel free to distribute the attached electronic copy of the Manual and also to make copies of it...SDLC is simply looking for as broad a distribution as possible."
