A Christian Path to Self-Care: Home Page

Self-care is a hot topic in many fields today. Whether they focus on physical, emotional, or spiritual health, they all talk about common themes. Setting boundaries. Achieving balance. Reducing stress. Finding joy.

Yet, with all of the rhetoric, all of the books, all of the seminars, and all the retreats, the real path to self-care is usually missed. It is true that I need to care for my "self." You need to care for your "self," too. But the best care for my "self" does not come from myself. The best care for your "self" does not come from yourself. It comes from someone greater; someone who knows and loves us better than we know ourselves. Jesus said, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matt. 11:28). The Lord created me, and the Lord created you. He has always known us better than we will ever know ourselves, and He can care for us better than we can. We need only to accept Him.

If you want your very best self-care, find Jesus. These pages tell about the path where you can do just that.
