Pat Ford will only share information if there is a risk of suicide, serious self harm, threat of terrorism, due legal process (e.g for example a court order), and particularly where children or vulnerable adults are involved.

 

Any data information sent to me is used specifically to make contact following any request for my services, and then deleted. 

 

My mailing address is protected by a secure password. This is to ensure safety and privacy.

 

Any other information is held in hard copy form.

MY USE OF YOUR DATA 

  • I hold data of client’s details which includes name, address, date of birth, telephone number and GP details. Any other information is held under a reference number and stored separately for  confidentiality. All files are kept in a secure room.
  • I retain data for as long as statute or regulations demand.
  • I hold data electronically where necessary and on paper. Electronic data is password protected.
  • I normally destroy files after six years.
  • My computer hard drives are destroyed before disposal.
  • I do not allow any third party access to any data.
  • I often undertake work from contractors, on client’s behalf. Contractors are required to sign a declaration that they will comply with current data protection guidelines.   
  • Where I take work from contractors, I take all reasonable precautions to keep your personal information secure including safeguards against unauthorised access, use or data loss. This includes ensuring any third parties with whom I perform work on your behalf comply with security standards as part of their contractual obligations.

YOUR RIGHTS

It is important that I also let you know of the rights you have under the new regulations, and these are listed below. (None of these rights are absolute, and are subject to various exceptions and limitations).  You can exercise these rights at any time by contacting me directly.
