Stefan Patchedjiev hello

After graduating from Canada's Dalhousie University, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. John Whitehead's research group at Memorial University of Newfoundland

We have studied the magnetic ordering in antimagnetic and ferromagnetic systems. More specifically, we used extensive Monte Carlo simulations to examine the effects of dilution of vacancies on the phase transitions in these systems. Interestingly, the vacancies which can bee looked as lattice defects, sometimes induce global order in the entire system. This happens even when they are distributed randomly on the surface. This strange phenomenon is named "order out of disorder".

Scientific research interests include

Surface adsorption-desorption phenomena. Nonequilibrium thermodynamics on surfaces and Monte Carlo simulations.

At present I am the CEO of CEEC

CEEC is the Bulgarian Union of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, an N.G.O.
