Diary of a Public Historian

Senior Curator of History, New-York Historical Society

Hulser will spend an evening discussing the highlights and absurdities of her work as public historian. Her illustrated commentary will include anecdotes about collecting new objects, curating big exhibitions, and the peculiar risks and pleasures of doing history for general audiences.

Audience questions, comments and dialogue are welcome.

Kathleen Hulser is public historian, senior curator of history and chief education curator at the New-York Historical Society. She also teaches at Eugene Lang College of the New School and the Department of Social and Cultural Analysis at New York University.
