4TH ANNUAL "SUPER" FUN RUN
NOT ORDINARY...EXTRAORDINARY
OCTOBER 11, 2017 


Get out your "Super Gear" for our 4th Annual FUN Run.  Students, teachers, volunteers and parents are invited to wear their super gear (t-shirts, capes, costumes, etc) to school on FUN Run day!

The FUN Run is the PTA's way of combining fun, exercise and fundraising in one event!  All students in grades PreK-6 run in groups around a 1/8th mile course in the front of the school.  Students in K-6 run/walk as many laps as they can in 20 minutes (PreK runs/walks for 15 minutes).  

3 GOALS OF FUN RUN:
  1. HAVE FUN! - Kids, teachers, staff, parents all gear up and share in the fun.
  2. BE HEALTHY! - 15-20 minutes of exercise during the school day can help improve learning and focus.
  3. RAISE MONEY TO MEET THE PTA BUDGET FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR! - The money raised from this event will go back to Parr and its students by helping the PTA pay for computers, books, classroom needs, families in need, community events, spelling bee, science fair, teacher appreciation and everything that the PTA does in the course of the year.  




2017/2018 MEETINGS

Everyone is welcome at the monthly PTA meetings.  Our regular meetings are the 2nd Thursday of each month unless otherwise stated.  We meet in the Parr Library at 5:30p. Babysitting is provided for all meetings, unless otherwise noted, by Your Kids' Place, LLC. This year's meetings are:

October 19th (date adjusted due to Conference week)
November 9th
December 14th
January 11th
February 8th
March 8th
April 12th
May 10th

WHAT IS THE PTA?

In the Parr community, our mission as the PTA is to provide a welcoming and inviting environment for all families, students and staff.  We also aim to assist in maintaining and improving the quality of education being provided to our students. We endeavor to connect School, Family and Communities.

WHO ARE WE?

We are parents and community members who care. Our children go to Parr and we work to ensure that our kids and yours have a successful year.
