Zuiderpark (South Park) is a park located in the district Zuiderpark in The Hague, is part of the district Escamp. The park was built between the wars as a job creation project. The design dates from 1908 and was designed by the architect HP Berlage. With the construction began in 1923, the official opening was in 1936. The park was located until mid-2007 the South Park Stadium, home of football club ADO Den Haag, now housed in a new stadium in the Forepark. In addition, the park houses an indoor pool, outdoor theater, an art route, bowling, boat rentals and a restaurant, "Park Pavilion South Park" opened in 2005. Zuiderpark was traditionally the place where you could see exotic species of birds, especially ducks in different screened cages. Now you look in the wild ringneck swarms of Asian (Indian Ringneck (Psittacula krameri), Indian Ring Neck). The stork, the symbol of The Hague, has ever been seen here and now you have the more ooivaarsnesten the direction of Wassenaar.
