Pastoral Council

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Bohernabreena Parish Pastoral Council is, through prayerful discernment,
a) to formulate a vision for the future of the parish which will enable a more vibrant Christian Community to emerge, and
b) to take responsibility for the mission of the Church in this locality, and help make it a Church which is welcoming and compassionate.

The following are members of the current Pastoral Council, starting its term in February 2015:

The Parish Pastoral Council elected the officers and the team stands as follows: Fr Michael Hurley (President), Thomas Lynch (Chairperson), Jim Golden (Vice Chairperson), Amanda West (Secretary), Roisin Alexander-Pye (Vice-Secretary), Martin Donaghy, Mairead Flanagan, Cormac Quinn, Michael Quinn, Fr Piaras MacLochlainn and Fr Jose Bharanikulangara.

We’re looking forward to serving the community and using our gifts to work together to make our churches places where all are welcomed, where the sacraments and Mass are celebrated together and take us further on our faith journeys. Your input and feedback is very welcome, as although our remit as a pastoral council is focused on the spiritual and pastoral aspects of parish life, if practical problems are blocking this we need to consider it with the parish team.
