Welcome

Welcome! If you have a student at Libertyville High School...then YOU are a Parent CAT! The ParentCATS is an organization that serves the student body, supports school policy and partners with the staff of LHS. ParentCATS seeks to support a positive educational and high school experience at LHS by enhancing school-home communication and providing volunteer services.  All parents or guardians of a LHS student are automatically members.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

NEXT PARENTCATS MEETING - THURSDAY, MAY 2 IN ROOM 1107 at 7PM
What a great year we've had with robust discussions and welcoming different speakers to the meetings. Our final one is this Thursday, May 2nd at 7pm. Join us as we discuss year-end activity, hear updates from Dr. K and vote in the new 2019-20 Board!

MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVES!
This semester we will focus on educating and discussing mental health among teens, and how parents can have discussions with their students. Strong mental health is a national concern and is part of the district's DARING mission. A new parent group, Wildcat Mental Health and Wellness, meets once a month and topics run the gamut. Please see the newsletter for more info!  Email us at lhs.wmhw@gmail.com if you have any questions and have topics of interest you would like to see covered.

MAY NEWSLETTER IS HERE!

"ASK PRINCIPAL KOULENTES" SERIES
Keep those questions coming! "Ask Principal Koulentes" is a newer initiative that gives parents direct access to Dr. Koulentes. He leads a discussion at the end of every meeting that is based on parents' anonymous questions and concerns. Please submit any topics of discussion for Dr. Koulentes at parentcats@gmail.com.

SUBSCRIBE TO OUR MONTHLY EMAIL AND NEWSLETTER

INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING?
We have so many opportunities for parents to get involved... window painting store fronts down Main Street, College Resource Center, coordinate gym uniform distribution, provide students with hot cocoa and cookies, work the Spirit Store at games or at LHS!
