Para Sa Bata donated cash to Virlanie Foundation for their Back to School Campaign. The money was used purchased school supplies for 200 children.

Message from Virlanie:

Your donation is very meaningful, not just because of its impact (your donation covers the cost of supplies for 200 children) but also because of its significance. Education is, especially for disadvantaged children, the instrument that will save them from poverty and help them to become self-reliant, productive and independent individuals.

You gave them a priceless gift. And we thank you deeply.

Mula sa kapwa, Alay sa dukha
A Narrative Report on Mula sa Kapwa, Alay sa Dukha Project

(Para sa Jubangnon Inc.)

It is always our desire to let others experience their importance, and their involvement. Our immersions to be part of those individual with hand-to-mouth situations really encourage us to help. Last January 16, 2011, some students from Veritas College of Irosin through the effort of Richard Espedido and PSJI once again spearheaded Mula sa Kapwa, Alay sa Dukha Project. A gift giving, feeding Program and Parlor games for 128 indigent children of Barangay Guruyan, sitio Kawayan.

Despite of the raging flood caused by heavy rain, filthy pathway going to the location volunteers and students didn’t dishearten to deliver the services to the residents especially to 128 indigent children as a recipient of the said activity. Upon the arrival of the group they gathered the children at the chapel and gave some instructions to the parents and or guardians, their purpose and desire why they came to the place. At exactly 9:00 in the morning the activities started, while some volunteers and students preparing food others were busy having their parlor games to the children. Prizes were toys, candies and biscuits. Children were happy and eagerly joined the games; likewise students from VERITAS College enjoyed the activity. After the games food was served, a hot soup for the children. And for a while volunteers and students prepared the gifts for them, upon distributions you can see and mirror on them the joy of their heart and the gladness that they received the gift they wished to have.

Special thanks to Para Sa Bata org and to tia ellen.
