(primarily the monopolistic State propaganda rag), The Advertiser bullies & smothers any criticism regarding aviation, (or any truth about the motor industry for that matter).  Two identical articles, but any critical comment in The 'Adelaide Now' Advertiser are censored. The same applies to any Adelaide Airport article. Ministers like Alexander Downer have used this as an excuse to remain ignorant about preventable Parafield aviation pollution. Some even think it funny! It does NOT reflect Adelaidian desires, biases public opinion, breeds ignorance, encourages pollution & sickness to vast areas of our City, and why we need media reform:

Notice how the 'F' is nearly impossible to see. This 'camouflaging' technique to make FTA's training aircraft registration numbers not visible has been complained about for many years. Not only do they operate in uncontrolled urban airspace, they are not tracked, monitored, measured, or identifiable from those they extensively pollute! Airservices refuse to report anything without the complete registration numbers, CASA does nothing much, yet they still are permitted to fly and get lost like this!

We know that critical comments were submitted to Australian papers, but none were published in Australian papers, probably because the pilot was from a Chinese Flying school. News Corp hardly ever prints anything critical of China because News Corp/Murdoch wants to curry favor to grow their media enterprise there.

Master Plan aviation PR bull - a response typically designed to encourage a sense of helplessness amongst polluted victims - they fail to say that PAL requested for more time to prepare their master plan due to inadequate Community Consultation, with a serious ongoing, long term lack of independence in their 'Community Consultation' process.
AAL corporate affairs general manager John McArdle wont comment further. During most flight abusive FTA mass flight training schedules pushed by Keith Morgan (who just wanted to grow business & completely disregarding what up to 2000 overflights/day does to people) McArdle  laughingly denies a problem! What would one expect from an Australian Airport Association chief drone? 
Like other Australian Transport Dept stooges, where there are serious problems, they simply don't measure it, claiming, 'No evidence of harm.' Same language from the Northern Community Health Board about the horrid Salisbury to Port Hellway for GMH rendering residential areas unsafe, unhealthy and for many, uninhabitable!

Apparently putting out a glossy that does not show noise or all of the mass flight training is supposed to make it ok as far as PAL is concerned. Mose of all the areas west of Parafield airport was zones as residential1 and built during the 1950's to 1980's. - BEFORE any foreign mass flight training started!

Busselton, another nice place offering lifestyle, like Maryborough,  population <16,000, knocks back flight training as not meeting Environmental Protection Authority guidelines & wants to move its airport <10miles out of town. Here in Salisbury, population >115,000, mass flight training its allowed over Residential1 areas!!
 
 
The above story relates to grounding faulty Diamond DA42 training aircraft. FTA continued flying these faulty aircraft, by unqualified cadets,  over residential areas (with unresolved engine problems) for over two years! The community was informed that stalling aircraft (over housing) was part of training! The page was pulled off the net about a week after print, but a web page copy can be found linked here:

Clearly, the practice of isolating people expressing concerns that effect airport stakeholders' inconsiderate greed is evident in some local newspaper forums. Also, many (now elderly) were active in the past, have written to MPs etc, but currently do not use the internet. In the past, almost all public concerns got funnelled to Airservices Australia and Airport management, who use privacy arguments to stop peoples’ legitimate concerns from being shared/consolidated, then create a false perception by labelling people as a minority of whingers, while disregarding their rights to civic amenity, resulting in considerable misery and ill health. Critical letters, even to various MP’s, were also effectively forgotten, as MPs consulted Departments of Aviation, they consult Airservices Australia, who in turn do not measure and report the true amount of flight training pollution.

This is about public HEALTH AND SAFETY. These Diamond DA42's have been failing over our homes since they arrived in early 2007. Flight Training Adelaide then claimed they have to train pilots for emergencies, like engine failures, trying to cover up that in these cases the failures were uncontrolled!!
