Dimitra Avgouladakis

Dimitra has given piano concerts for the charitable institution "The Child's Smile" which aims at helping children, the French Institute of the French Embassy in Greece, the "Theoharakis Foundation" in athens and the "Pleiades" Concert Hall at the Melina Mercouris Cultural Center. Dimitra has performed at the winter and summer music festivals organized by the Athenian Conservatory of Athens every year.  At a very young age she appeared as an interpreter on the "Young musical talents show" on ER1 t.v.  She has accompanied young pianists and has made very successful musical collaborations with the violinist D. Margaritis and the saxophonist Georgia Lionakis.  She distinguished herself and received awards in piano competitions such as: "The Youth's Choir and Orchestra" (three competitions), the "Filona" a nationwide Greek and Cypriot piano competition, and "The Muses" international piano competition, held at the Gyzi Concert Hall on the island of Santorini, Greece. She has participated as an interpreter in piano master classes conducted by pianists of the world wide fame such as Konstantin Ganev, Lilia Boyadjieva and Alain Lefevre.

Ms. Avgouladakis has worked as a piano assistant and piano teacher at the Athenian Conservatory, and has been a member of its five member committee for assessing and grading the performance of young piano students.  Dimitra had completed on scholarship, her studies in professional piano performance under the pianist Ms. Evi Marinakis at the National Conservatory of Athens. In addition, she has received a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, which has greatly helped her in selecting and using the most updated techniques and methods of piano teaching.
