Aethophyllum stipulare, a "herbaceous" Voltzian conifer, found around 247 Ma (Rothwell et al., 2000)
All known conifers are robust woody plants, with this taxon as an exception, which possesses scant amounts of wood
It is possible that this plant inhabited marsh environments and may have grown to maturity in 3-4 months
Fauna
Possible evidence of the earliest dinosaur, Nyasasaurus (Nesbitt et al., 2013)
