The 2008 QUAVER meeting will be hosted by the Department of Archaeology, PALAEO and the Functional Morphology and Evolution Unit (HYMS), University of York. It will be held at the King's Manor in the centre of York on 18th and 19th April 2008 (view a map of York, King's Manor map and information).
The full programme is now online. View the programme.
Registration for this meeting is FREE (and includes tea and coffee but not meals) and open to all with an interest in Quaternary vertebrate research and related topics.
If you would like to attend this meeting, please send an email to Eline van Asperen (envanasperenATpalaeoDOTeu) NO LATER THAN 14th March 2008. For catering purposes, please state which days you will be attending (18th, 19th or both). Please also state whether you would like to attend the informal (pay-for-yourself) conference dinner on the evening of the 18th so that we have an idea of numbers.
To keep costs as low as possible, we will not be providing lunch. However, King's Manor is in the centre of York, which has a range of cafes, pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
We will have an informal (pay-for-yourself) conference dinner on the Friday night. Further details to follow.
York has a huge range of accommodation. We recommend that you book somewhere in or near to the centre rather than on the University campus. A list of York accommodation can be found at: http://www.visityork.org/accommodation/
We haven't checked these places out, so cannot accept responsibility if you end up in a flea pit!
The full programme of events will be posted on this site.
