This is Jeff and I the night we got engaged!

We met March 4th, 2006 and went on our first date the very next day!

The night we met I was out for a friends birthday and after a yummy dinner with great friends we continued to party at Irish Fest in Manhattan, IL. I didn't want to go but my friend guilted me into it since it was her birthday! Some other friends wanted to introduce me to Jeff and I wanted nothing to do with it. Turns out he wanted nothing to do with meeting "some girl" either. We ended up meeting sitting around talking until 5AM and couldn't help it we liked eachother. We took it kinda slow at first took our time getting to know eachother. We were both still pretty against it but eventually we couldn't fight it anymore. We were in love!

Proposal Story!

Jeff proposed on December 22nd, 2007 and it was perfect! We were spending the weekend downtown Chicago for a break before Christmas. Friday night we went to dinner with his parents and hung out in the jazz lounge of their hotel having a couple of cocktails. The next morning we got up too late for breakfast (as usual) so we went to Bubba Gump Shrimp on Navy Pier for lungh. I was so excited 'cause I love their food and always call Jeff Bubba. After lunch he wanted to go on the ferris wheel since he had never been. (Which I think is funny since his uncle is the head mechanic for the ferris wheel.) On our way up I was taking pictures be the crazy camera loving girl I am. When we were almost at the very top Jeff asked me if we were at the top yet. As I was saying "almost" I got butterflies in my tummy thinking oh my god is this going to happen? I couldn't even look at him I was so nervous it wouldn't happen. About 10 seconds later I turned around to look at him he brought his face close to mine and said "This is the perfect time to do it... Will You Marry Me? I sat there for a few seconds and finally said "Are you serious?" I started crying and finally said yes! I must have cried for about 45 minutes while people walked by looking at us. Later that night we had plans to meet our parents for dinner at Wildfire and then onto the Nutcracker! His parents know it was coming, mine had an idea but didn't know for sure. So to tell my mom I bought her "The Everything Guide for the Mother of the Bride" My parents were thrilled!

It was the best day i ever could have asked for.

This picture is from about 45 minutes after he proposed
- I'm still all white from crying!

One of my fav pics from that day!

And this last one is us with our parents at dinner that night!
