Eight-Mile Mesa

"Eightmile Mesa" is ride #9 originally published in the book “PAGOSA RIDES; Mountain Biking in and around Pagosa Springs” by Gary Hopkins.

Eightmile Mesa provides an interesting contrast to other rides surrounding Pagosa Springs. After a somewhat steep and relentless 2 mile climb you reach the top of the mesa, after which your route becomes a pleasant, rolling journey through pine/oak woodlands interspersed with grassy meadows. Optional destination or stopping points along the route offer sweeping views. Wildflowers can be spectacular late May to June.  Eightmile Mesa provides an interesting contrast to other rides surrounding Pagosa Springs.
