Welcome to the Wellesley Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC). We are a group of parents and caregivers who advise the Wellesley Public Schools District on matters affecting the education and safety of students. We meet regularly with the District, and we participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of special education programs. We also hold programming relating to IEPs and 504 Plans, including an annual basic rights presentation, in cooperation with the District. Additionally, we foster community among parents and caregivers of children with disabilities.
Our membership is open to all. You do not need to have a child attending WPS, nor does your child need to have an IEP or 504 Plan.
Please contact us at pacwellesley@gmail.com if you are interested in joining Wellesley SEPAC's e-mail list, would like to learn more, or have a question or concern.
SEPAC and WPS are co-hosting the district's annual basic rights presentation Understanding the IEP on Monday, September 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Hardy Innovation Lab (293 Weston Rd). Social time will be from 5:30-6 pm, with programming starting at 6 pm. Light refreshments will be served.
Join us for our next General Meeting on Tuesday, September 30 at 10 am via Zoom. Come and help us plan our year together. Please email pacwellesley@gmail.com if you would to suggest any topics for the agenda.
