Salisbury Steak

  • 1 pound (or more) ground beef
  • 1 small to medium sliced green bell pepper
  • 1 small to medium sliced onion
  • 2 (McCormick) brown gravy packets (or more)
  1. Form hamburger patties and brown both sides in a large deep frying pan
  2. Drain grease
  3. Add 2 cups of water to brown gravy packets in a measuring cup, mix well
  4. Pour gravy on top of hamburger
  5. Stir in onions and peppers to pan
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste
  7. Simmer on low for an hour
  8. Stir/Flip burgers every 10-15 minutes
  9. Serve with mashed potatoes and corn
  10. (Leave out peppers and onions when dishing up gravy for the little ones to make it kid friendly!)
