First, apologies to anyone who showed up at McKitrick on Sep 3 for the Round Up. The event was rescheduled to Tuesday, Sep 9, but the update was not reposted here. We will be at McKitrick on Sep 9 to sign up new Cub Scouts. Our first pack meeting is still scheduled for Wednesday, Sep 17.

We will also be holding a Round Up for boy's and their parents interested in joining the pack on Wednesday, Sep 3, at 7PM. If you have friends who are interested in joining Cub Scouts, this is a good time to come for information and to get any questions answered.
With school starting again, it's time for Cub Scouts!Our first Pack meeting will be held on Wednesday, Sep 17 at 7PM at McKitrick Elementary. Note: due to a schedule conflict at the school, this is the third Wednesday rather than the second.

This year's Children's Gasparilla Parade is Saturday, Jan 18, from 3:30 - 6:00. Pack 9 will be participating along with boys from Packs 90 and 38. We're number 74 in the line up this year. That puts us between Lawn and Fair Oaks on Bayshore Boulevard.We'll get as many scouts as we can on the float. Parents and siblings are welcome to walk with us. Those with small children may want to bring a wagon or jogging stroller for them to ride in. We'll need four parents to act as safety monitors and walk at the corners of the float.
Scouts participating should be in full class A uniform. (blues for Cubs, blues or khaki/olive Webelos) Please meet at the float no later than 2:30. Earlier is probably better as there will be *lots* of traffic. There is a shuttle service from the Fort Brook parking garage, downtown. Cost is $5 per adult. Accompanied children are free.
Our first campout of the year will be Spook-O-Ree! Some of the events planned for this weekend will include crafts, a costume contest, BBs and archery (for registered Cub Scouts only) and spook trail. As most of you know this campout has many other Packs which means a BUNCH of people and limited space. Check-in accordingly. A section on the camp ground will be blocked off for us. Are your health forms on file with us? This weekend fills up quickly!

Our first pack meeting of the school year will be on Wednesday, September 11, from 7-8 PM at McKitrick Elementary's cafeteria. Pizza will be on sale for $1 per slice before the meeting.There will be a round up for boys interested in joining the pack from 6:30-7:00. If you have friends that would like to join Cub Scouts, bring them out on Wednesday.
There will be a Pinewood Derby Workshop Saturday, Jan 12,from 9-3 at Mr. David Rain's house, 18720 Chaville Rd, in Cheval. We will have another shorter workshop on Saturday, Jan 26 if you miss this one
Mr Rain is opening up his wood shop for Pinewood Derby designers. You will walk out with your designed car ready to paint. We will have the derby boxes at the workshop for you to pick up and work on. If you can not make it let your den leader know so they can get it to you.

The Pinewood Derby campout will be held Feb 1-3 at Camp Soule in Clearwater. Please sign up at the January Pack meeting if you haven't already.
Popcorn orders are due Monday. Please get your orders in to your den leaders.
