Fundraising

Fundraising

Face it parents: we grew up in a different time. As kids, nothing was handed to us. We either worked or helped to earn our rewards: money, an activity with friends, or something we wanted. Scouting still believes in and stands for the core value of earning!

With this in mind, Pack 896 asks each scout to fund his portion of the Pack program year 100% through fundraising. However, each family's fundraising preferences vary, so whatever a scout can't earn through fundraising may be supplemented with an annual Pack Program fee. It is important that each scout strives for their fundraising goal each year.

Benefits to Your Scout and Family:

  • Teaches Scouts the value & process of setting and working toward goals
  • Gives Scouts a strong sense of accomplishment through recognition
  • Enhances communication, leadership skills and confidence in your Scout
  • Scouts can earn valuable rewards including gift cards and prizes
    • The more a scout sells, the smaller his annual pack program fee is!

Yearly Sales Goals:

Below are the goals you and your Scout should strive for...

  • GOLD GOAL -$600.00 per Scout
  • SILVER GOAL- $300.00 per Scout
  • BRONZE GOAL -Scout sets his own goal

  • The Scout processes any orders and delivers the Product to the Customer in a few weeks.

Selling at Work

  • Mom and/or Dad take an order form or product to their work.
  • Fellow co-workers write their order on the order form or purchase the in hand product.
  • Mom and/or Dad deliver any product and collect the money in a few weeks.
  • (It is best to collect the money upfront when possible)

Selling Online

  • The Scout can communicate his Popcorn Order Key via email, phone, and so on, to potential or existing customers. The Customer can go online and purchase popcorn with a Credit Card at http://www.trails-end.com
  • The Product is shipped directly from Trail’s End to the customer and the Scout and Unit receive credit for the Sale.

Show and Sells

  • Show and Sells make up a big part of our fundraising program.
  • We've obtained permission from local businesses to set up a sales table. Show and Sells have plenty of products on-hand for people to buy. Different Scouts work at the table in shifts. Always have adult supervision.
  • Check the calendar for show and sell times and other important details.
