Blue and Gold Banquet

Countdown to Blue and Gold

What is the Blue and Gold Banquet?

Most Cub Scouts celebrate Scouting Anniversary Week in February with a "birthday party" called the blue and gold banquet. In nearly all packs, the blue and gold banquet is the highlight of the year. It brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer. It's the pack meeting for February.

The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents. Packs often like to invite former members and other Scouting or community leaders to take part in their blue and gold banquet.  Also, our Arrow of Light Webelos will be crossing over to Boy Scouts in a special ceremony held at the banquet.

This year we will have a special guest, a magician, to entertain and delight.  And the Dad and Lad Dessert contest will be held and judged by our photographer.  The dessert should be created by father (or male mentor) and son.  The theme is "Cub Scouts: Fun at Every Turn."
