Through fun activities, challenging adventures and community service projects, Cub Scouts make new friends and discover the importance of cooperation, citizenship, responsibility and physical fitness in their everyday lives.

***Some events below are managed and planned by GSLAC, our council, and therefore you will need to register with them in order to participate.  All efforts are made to get correct details from GSLAC, but please refer to the event description itself (via the included link) rather than this website for accuracy.  Also, be aware that most GSLAC events require pre-registration (and payment), and do not normally allow for walk-in participants the same day of the event.***


Summer Camp Information


The GSLAC information on Summer Camps has been posted for our area.  Check here for details on Day and Overnight Camps offered by our Council this summer.

We are asking for you interest in participating in one of the Council offered Family Camps.  This is a one-night camp at one of the Greater St. Louis Area Camps.  Please click this link to fill out a form specifying what location/dates would work for your family, then we will follow up with the formal registration process when we have decided on the event(s) that the pack will be coordinating.

Please sign up on any sheet that interests you and if there are options for Camp Location and Dates, please indicate your preferences for your family.

Parent Meeting: February 12, 2019 at 7:00 PM, Location - South Middle School Cafeteria

The Pack Committee helps ensure that our Cub Scouts are offered fun-filled and meaningful events through the year. Parents please attend and help enrich and strengthen our Pack. Topics include upcoming pack meeting plans and assignments for the next monthly pack meeting.

Den Meetings: February 19, 2019 at 7:00 PM, Location - South Middle School Cafeteria

Each den (boys of the same age and rank) will have a meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.  Dens will cover requirements for rank advancement and electives. Tigers and Lions attend their den meetings with their adult partners; but Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Scouts can attend den meetings on their own.

While the meetings include games and other activities that are fun for the boys, program delivery is the main goal. Boys participate in activities and work on projects that are related to an adventure and that help them learn the skills they need to progress in rank. The boys also prepare to do their part in the monthly pack meeting.

Blue and Gold Banquet:  February 24, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Location - Pezold Banquet Center

Pack 858 celebrates Scouting Anniversary Week in February with a birthday party called the Blue and Gold Banquet.  The Blue and Gold Banquet is the highlight of the year. It brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer.


The purpose of the Blue and Gold Banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, scouts, and parents. The agenda for the night includes games, awards, and our official ceremony where our AOL Webelos Scouts crossover to Boy Scouts. 

Make plans to attend this annual celebration dinner to recognize the accomplishments of our cub scouts of Pack 858. More information can be found on our Blue and Gold site.

The event includes a buffet style dinner. The cost for the dinner is $10.00 per attendee, Pack 858 scouts are free!  All scouts should wear their Class A, official uniform.  Sign-up HERE!

The monthly pack meeting brings together boys from every den, their leaders, and their families, to 
participate in a large-scale event that serves as a showcase for everything the boys have learned and done in their individual den meetings. The pack meeting gives the boys a larger experience beyond their own den, and helps them to connect their individual activities to the entire Cub Scouting program. 
Our meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.  Make sure your scout looks his best.

Each scout should wear his "Class A" blue shirt, blue dress shorts, neckerchief, and slide.

STEM - Radical Robotics: March 9, 2019 at 9:00 AM (sign-in 8:30 AM), Location - Webster University


Bring all Scouts -- boys and girls, siblings and friends -- to a morning of fast-paced, engaging technology and engineering. Scouts will learn basic robotics by building and testing their own robot that they get to take home!

Supervision: At least 1 adult who knows your Scouts should attend, but they do not need to register. Please bring camp chairs. We will be limited on chairs at this event and appreciate the adults bringing their own.

Cub Scout STEM Day: April 6, 2019 at 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, Location - Vatterott College Northpark in Berkeley Missouri.



Who: Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos

What:  With the help of Mad Science staff and the facilities of Vatterott College, the program will be focused on earning specific STEM-based Adventure Belt Loops/Pins within Cub Scout advancement program.  Adventures - See the registration link below.

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (Sign-ins begin at 8:30 am, no sooner)

Cost:  $16.00 per Scout. This includes take home items and advancement cards for earning adventure belt loops.   

Payment:  Mastercard, VISA, and Discover.  Payments and registration will only be accepted online.



NO late registrations or walk-ins will be accepted.  Cub Scout participants will be capped at 20 per class. First come, first served.  

Scouts must be in the care of a responsible adult during the event.  Please bring portable chairs. The facility will only have enough chairs for the Scouts.
