Cub Scouts has activities for the entire family to enjoy together. If your son is in the first through fifth grades, or 6 to 10 years old, it's time to put down the Xbox get outdoors and have some fun.

Upcoming Events

Popcorn Show and Sell: October 21, 2017 at 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Location - Fort Zumwalt South Craft Show 2017

We will be participating in the FZS Craft Show and be able to sell popcorn.  
Scouts must be in full Class "A" uniforms - Blue Shirts and Blue Shorts (no athletic or draw strings).  Don't miss this opportunity to sell a large portion of your popcorn goal.  More information about popcorn can be found on our popcorn website.  Popcorn sales will be divided by the scouts who participate during each day of show and sell.

Pack Meeting: October 24, 2017 at 7:00 PM, Location - South Middle School Cafeteria

The monthly pack meeting brings together boys from every den, their leaders, and their families, to 
participate in a large-scale event that serves as a showcase for everything the boys have learned and done in their individual den meetings. The pack meeting gives the boys a larger experience beyond their own den, and helps them to connect their individual activities to the entire Cub Scouting program.  
Our Gathering activity starts at 6:45 PM and the meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.  Make sure your scout looks his best.

Scouting for Food, Bag Drop-Off:  November 11, 2017 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Location - Progress South Elementary Parking Lot



Scouting for Food is the Boy Scouts of America's largest one-day food drive, raising 15% of area food pantries' supplies yearly.

Be a part of this nation-wide tradition as the Cub Scouts drop off food bags to be filled for a food collection the following weekend.   Scouts will gather outside on the PSE parking lot with their Dens and will be assigned a neighborhood/geographic area to hang bags on doors. Parents are needed to transport the boys, ensure safety and help make this event a success.

Lindenwood Lions Welcome BSA:  November 11, 2017 from 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM, Location - Hunter Stadium



See the Lions... up close!  Join us for Boy Scouts of American Day at Lindenwood.  All Boy Scouts and their family members can purchase tickets for just $4.  Better yet, the boys will get to high five the team on the field!  The Boy Scouts will also receive special recognition during the game.

12:30 pm - Enter Stadium and meet near the field
12:50 pm - Walk on field and high five the team / Take Boy Scout group picture
1:00 pm - Enjoy the game!

Den Meetings: November 14, 2017 at 7:00 PM, Location - South Middle School Cafeteria

Each den (boys of the same age and rank) will have a meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.  Dens will cover requirements for rank advancement and electives. Tigers attend their den meetings with their adult partners; but Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Scouts can attend den meetings on their own.

While the meetings include games and other activities that are fun for the boys, program delivery is the main goal. Boys participate in activities and work on projects that are related to an adventure and that help them learn the skills they need to progress in rank. The boys also prepare to do their part in the monthly pack meeting.

Scouting for Food, Food Pick-Up:  November 18, 2017 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Location - TBD




Scouting for Food is a fun day for Scouts to pick up food donated by families in local neighborhoods.

Scouts will gather at PSE with their Dens and will be assigned a neighborhood/geographic area in which they will pick up food bags from porches.  Parents are needed to transport the boys, load food into vehicles, ensure safety and help make this event a success.

The food is brought back to PSE where the Scouts (and parents) sort and load the food onto trucks for delivery to the Hope Food Pantry in St. Charles.

Time: game starts at 3:05pm; pregame clinics start at 1:00pm - limited to 100 Cub Scout participants

STEM University UMSL 2017: Cub Scout College:  December 16, 2017 from 8:45 AM - 3:30 PM, Location - JC Penny Building, 1 University Blvd. Saint Louis, MO 63121 - Park in West Drive garage


This year Cub Scouts will be completing the 1-2-3 Go! NOVA (see requirements here: http://www.scouting.org/stem/Awards/CubScout.aspx#123go).  Sorry, there is no program for Tigers at this event.

Cost: $16.00 per youth and $10 per Leader/Adult. Includes: Lunch (pizza, soda, & cookies), STEM U patch, and program materials.

Payment: Mastercard, VISA and Discover. Payments and registration will only be accepted online.

Registration DeadlineSunday, December 10, 2017 or when capacity reached.

Earlybird of $16 youth/$10 adult by December 1price goes up $5 after.  
NO late registrations or walk-ins. Out of Council Scouts are welcome to enroll.

Pinewood Derby Car Impound: January 19, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Location - South Middle School Cafeteria


All derby cars that will be raced with the pack must be surrendered during impound, including parent and sibling cars. Each car is tested and weighed to ensure that the car meets all of the pack official pinewood derby rules. All of the cars are then sequestered by the Pack Pinewood Derby chair in preparation for the race.

Blue and Gold Banquet:  February 25, 2018 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Location  - Knights of Columbus Hall

Pack 858 celebrates Scouting Anniversary Week in February with a "birthday party" called the blue and gold banquet.  The blue and gold banquet is the highlight of the year. It brings families together for an evening of fun and cheer.

The purpose of the blue and gold banquet is to celebrate the pack's anniversary, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and inspire the leaders, Scouts, and parents. The agenda for the night includes games, awards, and our official ceremony where our Webelos 2s move to Boy Scouts.
Make plans to attend this annual celebration dinner to recognize the accomplishments of our Cub Scouts of Pack 858.

The event includes a buffet style dinner. The cost for the dinner is $10.00 per attendee. All scouts should wear their Class A, official uniform.
