Cub Scout Pack 39 is part of the Cub Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), whose overall mission is to help young people build character, learn citizenship, and develop personal fitness. We are chartered out of Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church, and are a part of the Toqua Di
strict of the Great Smoky Mountain Council (GSMC).

Cub Scouting is for the entire family. Pack 39 considers parents and siblings part of our Pack, and we encourage them to participate in Pack activities. We try to offer families a lot of activities to pick and choose from during the year, so don't be alarmed if the schedule looks jammed packed. Because Scouting stresses outdoors skills, we have a campout in the fall and one in the spring, in addition to GSMC or Toqua District-led family camps and picnics. If you don't have camping gear, we have loaner tents and tarps. We also participate in service activities (flags at Veterans’ Cemetery, food and clothing drives), popcorn sales, the Pinewood Derby, the Blue and Gold Banquet, picnics, and much more.

Pack 39 meets year-round. Pack meetings during the school year (August through May) are typically held on the 4th Monday of the month at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church, and summer Pack meetings are held on a weekend day
at some fun location. The Dens meet during the school year. Most Dens meet approximately two to three times per month on a day convenient to the Scout families. The Pack Parent Committee, Leaders, and interested parents/adults meet about every 6 weeks. All Pack meetings are on the calendar.

Check the calendar  frequently, as it is updated regularly along with event flyers.

What you can expect from Pack 39 and what we expect from you can be found in the Pack 39 Guidebook  found on the Parents/Scouts Resources page.
