Pack 33 will be holding our annual open house on Wednesday August 31st starting at 7pm.
We invite any families interested in Cub Scouts to join us for an evening of fun activities for the boys and an information session for parents who want to learn more about Pack 33 and Scouting at Sardis.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of Scouting at Sardis. Please join Pack 33 along with Troops 33 and 133 during the weekend of August 27th to celebrate.
Pack 33 will kick off the festivities with our annual Raingutter Regatta at 9:00am on Saturday. Come and join us for the fun and hang around to learn all about Scouting at Sardis!
Are you an adult who wants to race your own car in our Pinewood Derby? Do you want to bend the rules a little to make your car even faster? Then you should enter our Outlaw Race! For $20 you can get a car kit for yourself and race against other friends and family of the pack with all proceeds going toward Pack 33. To register, just visit the information table at either of the January den meetings.
For Outlaw Race rules, follow this link: https://goo.gl/Ba77X1
Have a sibling who wants to race for fun? They may purchase a kit at the information table for $4 at any January pack meeting and race after the scouts. Sibling cars should follow the same rules as the scout cars.
Are you ready to race? Pinewood Derby car kits were handed out at the December pack meeting. If you missed this meeting, see your Den Leader for your kit. We will have two car clinics where you can get assistance with designing, cutting, and adding weights to your car:
Saturday morning January 16th, and Saturday morning January 23rd from 9am to 12pm at the Scout Hut.
Car check-in will be from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on Thursday January 28th.
The Pinewood Derby will be held from 6:30pm to approximately 9:00pm on Friday January 29th.
The rules for the race can be found here: https://goo.gl/oGuQgZ.
Registration is now open for our 2015 Fall Camping Trip. Please download the registration form (https://goo.gl/il2pjR), fill it out, and return to the information desk by November 9, 2015. Direct any questions to your Den Leader.
Follow these easy steps to set up your online account for selling popcorn and military donations:
Don't forget that every Scout who makes at least $120 in sales and donations before November 16th will get to put a pie in the face of their favorite leader at the December pack meeting!
For any questions regarding popcorn sales, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Uniform inspections will be held between now and November 16th. Check with your Den Leader for the date of yours. We have uploaded the checklist that will be used to the "Forms" page of the website. Come prepared because Spirit Stick points will be awarded to each den!
Due to wet conditions, the pack meeting will be moved indoors from the Pack Shack to the Education Hall.
We will hold our first pack meeting of the year on Monday (9/28) at 6:30pm. We will meet at the Pack Shack. Scouts and Leaders will sit on the picnic tables. Parents and siblings should bring outdoor chairs. In the case of bad weather, the event will be moved inside to the Education Hall. Please arrive on time so that we can begin promptly. If you have registration paperwork, we will have an information table set up before and after the meeting.
This is a reminder that our first den meeting of the new school year will be this coming Monday (September 14, 2015) at 6:30pm in the Education Building at Sardis Presbyterian Church. If you are new to Pack 33 and have registration paperwork to turn in, it would be a good idea to arrive a few minutes early.
Are you new to Pack 33? Interested in learning more? We will hold our first annual New Scout Meeting on Monday August 31st at 6:30pm in the Education Building at Sardis Presbyterian Church. While the new Scouts begin working on their Bobcat badges, the adults will meet for a few minutes to answer any questions about Cub Scouting in general or Pack 33 in particular. This will be a great time to kickstart the Cub Scout Year before our regular meetings being after Labor Day.
