Who We Are
Cub Scout Pack 23 is open to boys and girls (K - 5th grade) from any area school, but is mostly made up of Lincoln, Jackson, and Jefferson Elementary School students. Most meetings are held at Epiphany Lutheran Church, which is our sponsoring organization.
Pack 23 is organized into separate Dens by grade level. With their Dens, scouts learn new skills while progressing to their next rank and earning various awards. They learn how to do their best for themselves and for their family, friends and community.

Pack 23 camps out twice a year in early summer and early fall. Here is the gorgeous campground at Churchill Woods in Glen Ellyn.
Key to Our Success
To support the planning and execution of a successful Cub Scout Pack, it takes engaged parents/guardians. In Pack 23, we have parent volunteers that help with all stages of the program. Our families are engaged and support their scout by attending meetings and volunteering when needed. We know everyone is busy and we operate with a “it takes a village” mentality. From carpools to chaperones, we work together to provide a great experience.

FAQs
1. What is the time commitment?
Scouting has 3 main types of activities: Den Meetings, Pack Meetings (all Dens together), and Pack Outings.
Den and Pack meetings are typically scheduled once per month. Pack Outings will vary based on the activity.
This combination of regularly-scheduled meetings and various outings has been designed to work for any family's schedule.
2. What is expected of parents?
Attendance is strongly encouraged at Pack meetings once per month.
Success of Pack 23 depends on parent volunteers. We ask each family to volunteer for one role. Time commitment varies depending on role and interest.
3. What is the cost?
As a non-profit organization, the annual fee structure is approximately $200.
This fee covers national, council, and district expenses.
Our annual popcorn fundraiser aims to cover most (if not all) Pack expenses.
Uniform costs can be found at the Three Fires Council site (TFC - Three Fires Council).
A scholarship program is available - contact the Pack Leadership for additional information.
4. Is it ok to skip some activities?
Most scouts have other commitments like sports and church youth groups so we understand that things come up and absences will happen.
Parents can "make-up" most Adventure Loop activities with guidance from their Den Leaders.
