The overarching theme of the weekend was The Will to Research: The Art of Discovery

This theme was to set us upon the path of opening to a form of research consistent with the spirit of the times: the dilemmas and possibilities of counselling and psychotherapeutic research in the 21st century. Richard House Ph.D. a senior lecturer in psychotherapy and counselling, Department of Psychology, Winchester University opened the weekend and spoke out of his wide understanding and unique perspective of this theme. The talk and seminar generated a lot of interest, enthusiasm and inspiration to undertake research out of our practice as biographical counsellors.

On the 8th of October 2012 Margli Matthews was invited by Cornwall Counsellors Network to talk about Biographical Counselling. It was a great opportunity to reach out to counselling professionals of other therapeutic schools. Read more about this event at CCN events page. We are pleased to say that we had a very good feedback from the participants of this workshop.

On the 24th of June and 16 July 2012 several PABC members gave presentations for the 2nd year and 3rd year students of the Training in Biographical Counselling about PABC and its tasks and role in developing our profession and its integration into the wider professional therapeutic community.
