Participate in a 24-hour student design challenge for a chance to win one of four A$1,000 Google travel scholarships to Melbourne.
The OzCHI student challenge is a 24-hour event that preceded the OzCHI 2012 conference. During the challenge teams from around the world had 24 hours to come up with a solution to a design problem taken from state-of-the-art human-computer interaction research. The four top entries received a A$1,000 Google travel scholarship each to present their work at the conference in Melbourne.
The 2012 challenge was held at 10:00am (AEST) on 22nd September 2012. Students currently enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate study were eligible to enter, in groups of up to 5 people.
62 teams from 10 countries signed up for the challenge, 36 teams successfully submitted a solution. The four finalists teams will present their submissions at the OzCHI conference in Melbourne.
