Code of Conduct

Councillors of Oxton Parish Council are bound by the Code of Conduct approved by Parliament which sets out rules governing the behaviour of an authority’s members.

The first duty of a new Councillor is to sign the Declaration of Acceptance of Office undertaking and to complete the Register of Interests, which forms part of the ethical framework.

Oxton Parish Council adopted the District Councils Code of Conduct in July 2012. A copy of this document is available below.
