South Moreton Pre-School is a friendly small co-educational pre-school set within the grounds of South Moreton Primary School.
Our secure premises offer children a spacious open plan setting with a wide range of flexible activity areas. This leads to a large garden with plenty more activities and learning opportunities.
The pre-school is licensed to take children aged 2-5 years on a session basis (see hours and sessions for more information).
Our main catchment areas for the pre-school are North and South Moreton, Aston Upthorpe and Aston Tirrold. Of course we welcome children from surrounding areas, e.g. Didcot, Wallingford, Cholsey and other outlying villages.
In accordance with the Children's Act 1989 South Moreton Pre-School is registered with OFSTED, registration number: 133717, and operates within The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). EYFS is a statutory framework that sets the standards for learning, development and care of children up to 5 years of age.
In May 2005, the pre-school went into partnership with the primary school to form a Foundation Stage Unit. South Moreton Partnership Foundation Stage Unit (PFSU) was officially opened in February 2008. The PFSU links the pre-school with the Foundation Stage class, and is a wonderful example of how Early Years education is progressing in Oxfordshire. For the children at South Moreton Pre-School the transition to school is seamless. The children love and know the setting so well that starting school is an exciting and positive experience.
Places are available for 2017/18

WEATHER (JUST IN CASE!):
In the event of snow and the pre-school is open, children should bring warm outdoor wear and wellington boots to wear as we will still have an outdoor play policy in place if safe enough for the children to play outdoors.
