Vision:
To foster and enrich lives, especially of those in most need, through music.

Mission:
Facilitate and make accessible for all quality musical experiences, in the real world and online, that connect people of culturally diverse backgrounds locally and around the world.

Our Goal:
Ensure that EVERY child, especially those in most need, has access to a choral program that offers high quality musical experiences. Our Musical Life, Inc (OML) seeks to offer satellite choirs for each school in the Racine area that is lacking a choral music program. We currently offer choirs within the Racine area serving children ages 7 - 12.

This year, we continued our 2nd - 5th grade choir, Zest, at Giese Elementary school. These students have sung the National Anthem for the Milwaukee Wave professional soccer team, sung alongside the University of Wisconsin Parkside's Beat music club and Black Student Union over Facebook Live, sung Glenn Burleigh's Nguzo Saba Suite with Parkside's Master Singers and Chorale, Milwaukee's Heritage Chorale, and the Word in Motion Dancers from St Paul Baptist church of Racine, and shared a song at the Parkside BSU annual Essence Ball. We are even in the process of developing a music video of the Schoolhouse Rock favorite, My Hero, Zero!!

In the past, our music has gone viral on Youtube racking up millions of views, we have been featured on a Cloud Cult Album, we have collaborated with area schools such as Bull Fine Arts and Nash Elementary in Kenosha and even performed with the Racine Symphony Orchestra on two occasions. This past year, we sang Carmina Burana alongside Choral Arts Society of Racine and the Studio of Classical Dance.

We seek to be the organization that:

  • Promotes healthy vocal development
  • Fosters within the students a sense of personal responsibility, professionalism, and the value of citizenship and teamwork
  • Engages with multicultural repertoire
  • Reaches out to the community bringing diverse populations together
  • Positively impacts the lives of children and the community

Our program is especially important to combat cuts to arts programs across the nation and a steady turn over of music educators here in Racine.
