Noelle Cerdan, CPNP

Noelle Cerdan, CPNP is one of the three healthcare providers working at Oshiro Pediatrics.  PNP Cerdan joined the practice in June 2009.  She is a pediatric nurse pracitioner (PNP) and is board certified (CPNP).  She is providing pediatric services just like Dr. Hom and Dr. Oshiro.  A pediatric nurse practitioner provides services just like a physician's assistant (PA) or a nurse practitioner (NP).  A pediatric nurse practitioner, however, has had more extensive pediatric training.  Whereas a PA or a NP trains to take care of both pediatric patients and adult patients, a PNP trains to solely take care of pediatric patients.

PNP Cerdan completed both her Bachelor's degree in nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV).  She is a registered nurse (RN).  She has worked at Sunrise Children's Hospital in the pediatric intensive care unit and worked at St. Rose-San Martin in Henderson on the general pediatric floor.  She won the Star Performer Award at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals and was a nominee for Nurse of the Year in 2007.  She was awarded the Thesis of the Year Award in 2009 at UNLV for her research in asthma.  She is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

PNP Cerdan works Tuesday through Friday.  She does not work Mondays.  She sees patient with regular appointments as well as same day sick/urgent appointments.  Her first appointment is at 8:30 am.  Her last regular appointment is at 5:30 pm on Tuesdays and 5:15 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Her last regular appointment is at 4:30 pm on Fridays.  She will see patients after her regular appointments if all the previous appointments have been filled.  Of the three providers, she has the best availability in the early morning or if you have a child who needs to be seen in the afternoon without missing school.
