Mission

Help House is a non-profit, Christian organization, founded in 2003 by the churches of Osage County, for the purpose of providing emergency assistance for the basic needs of individuals and families in Osage County.

Help House exists to provide our hearts and
hands to help in an unconditional, compassionate, and non-judgmental way.
In addition, when appropriate, we offer intangible assistance of "food for the spirit" through sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Help House is supported by specialized grants, contributions, donations, and volunteers. We work in cooperation with other agencies and organizations to help provide complete care to those we serve and to empower them to discover their God-given gifts, abilities and inner-strengths.  Our ultimate goal is to guide all toward more dependence on God and interdependence with others.

    Salvation Army Assistance

Help House is the distributor for Salvation Army assistance funds in Osage County.

    How Can I Help?

We ask that the faith community keep Help House, its Board of Directors, Advisory Committee, and clients in their prayers. Volunteers are an essential part of this important ministry. If you would like to become a member of the volunteer staff, please call and talk to a volunteer at Help House.

                   Cash Donations

There is a continual need for monetary donations that can be applied toward maintenance, utilities, supplies, and food.

                   Material Donations

Donations of food, clothing, and other goods may be taken to Help House during regular operating

hours. Items may be brought inside or dropped off in the  Donation Shed located on the south side of the building.

All clothing should be clean, in season, and in good condition. Children’s clothing and blankets are always in short supply.

If you have large, working appliances or furniture, please call first.

    DONATION REQUEST

PLEASE DO NOT drop items off by the shed or along the sides of the building. We have a problem with vandalism which is why we now need to lock the Donation Shed after hours.

Thank you for your understanding of this matter. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
