I am an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Economics at Cornell University. I serve as the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies for the department. Together with my colleague Doug McKee, I run the Economic Education Lab (EEL). I also serve as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Economic Education.
Together with Douglas McKee, Emily Marshall, and Brandon Sheridan, I serve as a part of the Steering Committee for the Economic Education Network for Experiments (EENE). I co-chair the Review Committee for this organization together with Carlos Cortinhas.
My research interests include the areas of economics education/pedagogy and applied microeconomics (labour economics, economics of education, and economics of crime).
My work includes multiple completed and in-progress projects that concern developing standardized assessments of student knowledge in economics, evaluating the impact of pedagogical interventions in economics classes, and innovative classroom activities. You can find out more on the Cornell Discipline-based Education Research (CDER) webpage or the Economic Education Lab (EEL) webpage.
