If you use ThereCam to take your screenshots be sure to have your display setting set to at least 32 bit or the colors in your pictures will look horrible.
If you have Windows Vista try right clicking on your desktop, select "Personalize," and then "Display Settings." If it's set to Medium (16 bit) try Highest (32 bit).
With Windows XP right click on your desktop, select "Properties." Click on the "Settings" tab. If color quality is set to Medium (16 bit) try Highest (32 bit).
Advanced Users: You can improve the quality of pictures taken with ThereCam. Press ctrl shift L at the same time on your keyboard. Then visit http://localhost:9999/environment/top?variable=ThereCamPhotoQuality. You can alter the jpg compression quality value from 0-100 with 0 being the default setting of 90%.
If you use a program other than ThereCam to take your screenshots be sure to turn off nametags. You can do this by clicking on bottom bar There> Customize> World> Show no nametags.
To get rid of action tags There> Customize> World> Action mode. To get the bottom bar back while in action mode hold down Ctrl.
If you use ThereCam to take your pictures it automatically hides nametags, actions tags, IM/zone boxes for you.
Advanced Users: To get rid of block avatars press ctrl shift L and then visit http://localhost:9999/PerfKnobManager/set and change View Scale to 5 and then click submit.
